Iowa Careers in Energy Project - Closing Survey
The Iowa Department of Education, in support of the Future Ready Iowa Initiative, is partnering with the Iowa Energy Workforce Consortium (IEWC), Governor's STEM Advisory Council, Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU), Iowa Association of Energy Efficiency (IAEE), and the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives (IAEC) to develop promotional materials to highlight a wide range of exciting and fulfilling energy careers in Iowa.
Based on our initial research and feedback from 5 virtual employer focus groups held in May, we have created 6 new general job families that are common within Iowa’s growing and innovative energy sector. We now need your help to review these updates and provide some final anonymous feedback on job duties, wages, education, and other aspects necessary to be successful within these fields in Iowa.
This final project survey will remain open until Tuesday, June 22nd. If unable to complete the survey in a single session, simply start a new one and skip ahead to the section where you had left off. Please share this survey with colleagues, industry associations, and others with industry knowledge. The more responses we receive, the better the final product will be in helping to engage and inform students and job seekers about these great career opportunities.
A final product is scheduled for release in July. If you have any questions or feedback regarding this survey or the career awareness project, please contact Joe Collins (
