Revival Productions/Chester County School of the Arts Board of Directors and Committees Inquiry
Revival Productions/Chester County School of the Arts is seeking board and committee members for our upcoming board cycle, beginning in the fall of 2024.

Board members meet quarterly and are expected to serve on at least one of the two committees in addition to their board service

There are two committees; one for Revival Productions and one for Chester County School of the Arts. Each committee meets once per monthSub-committees may be created and do break out sessions, as needed. Committee members do not have to be board members. 

Chester County School of the Arts (Main)-Monthly
Elevate Dance Company (Sub Committee)-as needed
Scholarship Fund (Sub Committee)-as needed
Facilities (Sub Committee)-as needed

Revival Productions (Main)-Monthly
Finance (Sub Committee)-as needed
Development (Sub Committee)-as needed
Marketing (Sub Committee)-as needed
Etc.

Upon inquiry, existing board members will set up interviews and may request additional information such as resumes, references, or other qualifying information.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIES 
  1. Governance and Oversight:

    • Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the organization fulfills its mission effectively.
    • Review and approve organizational policies, goals, and objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Financial Stewardship:

    • Review and approve the annual budget and financial statements.
    • Monitor financial performance and ensure resources are used effectively and responsibly.
    • Help secure adequate funding for the organization’s operations and programs.
  3. Fundraising and Advocacy:

    • Actively participate in fundraising efforts and support development activities.
    • Serve as ambassadors and advocates for Revival Productions in the community.
    • Cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
  4. Strategic Planning:

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.
    • Evaluate programs and initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Monitor and assess organizational performance and impact.
  5. Board Development and Governance:

    • Recruit and orient new board members and assess current board effectiveness.
    • Foster a positive and productive board culture that promotes transparency and accountability.
    • Conduct regular evaluations of board performance and effectiveness.
  6. Risk Management and Legal Compliance:

    • Identify and mitigate risks that could affect the organization’s reputation or operations.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
    • Oversee policies related to risk management, including insurance coverage and emergency preparedness.
  7. Collaboration and Partnership:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and external partners.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Seek opportunities for collaboration and partnerships that advance the organization’s mission.
  8. Evaluation and Impact Assessment:

    • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the organization’s programs and initiatives.
    • Use data and feedback to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure that the organization is accountable to its stakeholders and transparent about its impact.
  9. Personal Contribution and Engagement:

    • Make a personal financial contribution that reflects commitment to the organization.
    • Attend and actively participate in board meetings, committee meetings, and special events.
    • Support and participate in organizational activities and initiatives as needed.
  10. Continuous Learning and Development:

    • Stay informed about developments in the field of Revival Productions/CCSA’s work.
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance board effectiveness.
    • Continuously strive to improve governance practices and contribute to a culture of learning within the board.

These responsibilities collectively ensure that board members at Revival Productions are actively engaged in steering the organization towards achieving its mission and maintaining its sustainability and impact over time.


COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Revival Productions

  1. Event Planning and Execution:

    • Assist in planning and organizing events hosted by Revival Productions.
    • Coordinate logistics, such as venue selection, catering, and scheduling.
  2. Fundraising and Sponsorship:

    • Help identify potential sponsors and donors for Revival Productions' events and initiatives.
    • Assist in developing fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  3. Marketing and Promotion:

    • Support the marketing team in promoting Revival Productions' events and activities.
    • Utilize personal and professional networks to increase visibility and attendance.
  4. Volunteer Coordination:

    • Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events and ongoing activities.
    • Provide guidance and support to volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
  5. Financial Oversight:

    • Assist in budget planning and monitoring for events and projects.
    • Ensure financial transparency and accountability in all committee activities.
  6. Community Outreach:

    • Represent Revival Productions in the community and build relationships with stakeholders.
    • Seek opportunities for collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and schools.
  7. Evaluation and Feedback:

    • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate event success and impact.
    • Use feedback to make improvements and inform future planning.

Chester County School of the Arts

  1. Curriculum Development:

    • Assist in reviewing and developing curriculum content and educational programs.
    • Ensure alignment with educational standards and goals.
  2. Student Support and Engagement:

    • Support initiatives to enhance student learning experiences and engagement.
    • Mentor students and provide guidance on artistic and academic pursuits.
  3. Facilities and Resources Management:

    • Help oversee the maintenance and improvement of school facilities.
    • Assist in securing resources and materials needed for arts education programs.
  4. Parent and Community Relations:

    • Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community.
    • Communicate school activities and achievements to stakeholders.
  5. Fundraising and Grants:

    • Collaborate with the development team to identify funding opportunities and write grant proposals.
    • Support fundraising events and campaigns to secure financial support for the school.
  6. Evaluation and Assessment:

    • Participate in the assessment of student progress and program effectiveness.
    • Use data and feedback to inform curriculum adjustments and improvements.
