Hi XXHacks Mentors, we are so excited to meet you! Here is some important information about our event:
Date: Saturday, February 18th, 2017
Location: Symantec World Headquarters (350 Ellis Street, Mountain View, CA)
Event Duration: 8:00AM - 8:00PM
Website: http://xxhacks2017.wixsite.com/about
Please look below for the time commitment for each position.

For this event, we are inviting high school girls with all levels of coding experience to create mobile applications or websites that will help advance our educational, social, or civil rights. We hope to provide girls with a safe and inviting space to experiment with technology and help expose them to the hackathon space. Mentors are essential to our event as they will help girls through their technical challenges and expose them to careers ahead. As a mentor, by answering a coding question, sharing your own technical journey, or judging our pitch competition, you will greatly help XXHacks and perhaps positively change the outlook of a high school girl. We will provide free meals and snacks throughout the day, our sponsors will be providing swag bags for all participants and volunteers, and winning teams will get cool prizes!

General Mentor: Throughout the hackathon day, girls will be working to design mobile applications (in Swift, Android, or AppInventer) or websites(in HTML/CSS) and will also create business plans for their ideas. As a mentor, you will be helping girls that may have technical difficulties in their application or while creating a business plan. The time for this role is flexible and may be anytime from 9am to 5:30pm.
