Anthropologists & Sociologists of Kentucky, founded in 1962, is a professional association bringing together professors, students and practitioners to promote scholarship, teaching and professional solidarity.
For purposes of conference and meal planning, early registration and payment are appreciated. The early registration deadline: Saturday, March 3, 2018.
We invite the submission of proposals for organized panels, roundtables, workshops and individually volunteered papers and posters. Papers are to be 15 minutes in length (not including questions) and sessions are limited to 3 papers (double and triple sessions may be proposed). Posters (36” tall x 48” wide mounted on trifold poster board) will be presented by the author(s) in a one hour poster session.
We encourage presenters to reflect on and include how their material is consistent with the conferences' theme "See, Judge, Act: Science Informing Activism". For example, addressing questions such as how this particular topic fosters better understanding of the world, which leads to informed action, such as policy advocacy or community outreach.
Registration Fees (lunch included): Faculty or Practicing $50.00; Student $30.00.
Please PAY your registration fees via PayPal using the following page: http://ask.anthroniche.com/meetings-membership-payment/ (link will open in a new window/tab).
Also, if you are a student, please consider the Jules Delambre Student Paper Contest. For requirements and questions about the student paper competition, please see the instructions (https://goo.gl/MV7bBy) or contact the Student Paper Competition Chair, Amy Thistlethwaite (email@example.com).
