Restorative Justice Book Discussion: Halfway Home: Race, Punishment and the Afterlife of Mass Incarceration, by Reuben Miller

Rueben Miller is a former UM professor and is now at the University of Chicago in the School of Social Service Administration. He has spoken at a number of presentations for the Dispute Resolution Center in Washtenaw County and Friends of Restorative Justice. According to the Paul Butler, writing for the Washington Post, the book is a ”guide to the legal and social cruelties piled on Americans who have felony convictions. This group numbers nearly 20 million people, including 1 in 3 African American men.”

Please join us as Susan Ashmore, a member of Restorative Justice, leads us in discussion about this timely and important account of life for returning citizens.
