Don Valley West Constituency Youth Council Application (2018-2019)
The Don Valley West Constituency Youth Council is an opportunity to meet with your Member of Parliament, Rob Oliphant, to discuss current issues affecting youth and politics at large in Canada. You will have the opportunity to engage with your peers and provide your perspective and advice to Rob for his work both in Ottawa and in the riding.

You have the opportunity to apply to the following positions, keeping in mind that these positions require an additional 1 hour commitment every week.

Communication Liaison
• Coordinate with MP's office to help manage communications regarding the Council's activities
• Help write emails, notes, and social media messaging
• Find creative ways to promote the projects of the year

Internal Liaison
• Organize meetings
• Take minutes during meetings
• Create required documents (ex. Google doc, excel sheets) and track progress

Research Liaison
• Help research topics and issues of interest and report on these issues to the Council

Council Member at Large (recommended for first year council members)
• Provide a perspective to both the Member of Parliament as well as the Council
• Help the council maintain relationships with the community

Please complete each of the sections below. Applicants must be residents of Don Valley West, and be between the ages of 15 and 25 years at the time of form submission. The deadline to submit applications and be considered for the Don Valley West Constituency Youth Council is October 14th.
