Club Officer Nominations for 2017/2018
Please make your nominations for the Murray Silver Blades Figure Skating Club board of directors, officers and administrators for the 2017-2018 season. You may nominate any parent or guardian of skaters in the club. You can nominate others, yourself or your spouse. Do not be shy about nominating others that you feel are qualified - they will get a chance to withdraw their name if they really do not want to do it. You may nominate more than one person for any position.

Serving as an officer or administrator for the club is a very special and rewarding way to serve.

President (This is a Director Position and usually automatically goes to this years VP. The President shall be the Chairman of the Board, shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors, and shall perform all other duties incident to the office of the president and chairman.)
Vice President (This is a Director Position and assists the President. Also works with Coaches and Jr Board.)

Secretary (This is a Director Position and takes Minutes, works closely with the President and is custodian of club records.)

Treasurer (This is a Director Position and is the principle financial officer of the club. The Treasurer keeps the Balance Sheets and Cuts Checks.)

Membership Chair (This is an Officer Position and heads the Membership Committee in taking care of all membership issues.)

Activities Chair (This is an Administrative Position and heads the Activities Committee in planning and executing social activities - this is where the fun is at!)

Show Chair (This is an Administrative Position and heads the Show Committee in planning and organizing shows in cooperation with the rink directors. This is a challenging position but rewarding position.)

Hospitality Chair (This is an Administrative Position and heads the Hospitality Committee in planning and executing hospitality functions during shows, tests and competitions.)

Competition Chair (This is an Administrative Position and heads the Competition Committee in planning and executing the Winter Classic Competition. Support will be given from the rink and from Interclub as well as other members of the club.)

Ice Monitor (They are the guardians of the gate. They get to know each of the skaters on a personal level. We need at least 4 monitors.)
