On Common Ground
On Monday, January 28, from 7-9 PM, explore the vital connection between faith and the advancement of human rights with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, Brian McLaren, Obery Hendricks, and others at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church in NYC! Today tens of thousands of farmworkers in seven states are harvesting free from slavery, sexual violence, and fear through the Fair Food Program which the Harvard Business Review called “among the most important social impact stories of the past century.” Now the program’s model is being translated to other supply chains around the world.

Join Gerardo Reyes Chavez of the CIW and faith leaders as we reflect on the spiritual, ethical, and social contributions of different faith traditions to realizing these astounding human rights gains and propelling them forward.

At a time when some corporations have more power than nation states and at a moment when human rights are under attack on every side, this gathering will provide common ground for us to reflect and marshal our moral and spiritual power on the side of human dignity and freedom.

Location: Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, NYC — 980 Park Ave, New York, NY 10028
Date and Time: Monday, Jan. 28, 2019 from 7-9pm
All are welcome!
