Dear First Baptist Family,
Roni and I would like to invite couples to join us in the month of July for a marriage enrichment journey using the Prepare-Enrich Assessment. I have administered this assessment for many years and believe it to be an effective tool in helping couples get a clear picture of where they are and of areas in their relationship where they need special attention.
Here is how this is going to work.
1. Couples (either married, engaged, or dating) who are interested in participating will fill out this form and hit "Submit" at the bottom.
2. We will then take your names and email addresses and register you with Prepare-Enrich.
3. You will receive an email from Prepare-Enrich instructing you on how to sign up to take the assessment.
4. As part of signing up, you will pay Prepare-Enrich $35/couple. [Note: This fee is from and for Prepare-Enrich. It is not from me or from First Baptist Church. This is what they charge to generate the report.]
5. You will both take the assessment separately without interacting with one another while taking it. I repeat: It is very important that you take the assessment alone, without one another. If you interact while taking the assessment, one of you might feel pressured to answer certain questions in certain ways and the integrity of the assessment will be compromised.
6. Once you have both completed the assessment, Prepare-Enrich will inform me and we will print off your reports here in the office.
7. You will get your report at the first group time that you choose to attend. We will not give you the report before that group time.
8. For the four full weeks of July, you will all have two opportunities each week to attend a group time to go over your report. These times are Tuesdays during the lunch hour and Thursday evenings. Both groups will meet in the Fellowship Center.
- Week 1: Tuesday, July 7, from noon to 1 pm or Thursday, July 9, from 6:15 to 7:30.
- Week 2: Tuesday, July 14, from noon to 1 pm or Thursday, July 16, from 6:15 to 7:30.
- Week 3: Tuesday, July 21, from noon to 1 pm or Thursday, July 23, from 6:15 to 7:30.
- Week 4: Tuesday, July 28, from noon to 1 pm or Thursday, July 30, from 6:15 to 7:30.
The same material for each week will be covered in both the Tuesday and Thursday meetings. The two weekly meetings are intended to help you. If you have to miss on Tuesday, for instance, just come on Thursday night, or vice versa.
Childcare will be provided.
