Call for Proposals: 2019 Educational Programs
USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter is accepting proposals for educational programs to be offered in 2019.

USGBC-MGC strives to offer a diverse selection of educational programs to educate our members and community on current green building principles and practices and to expand the opportunities for LEED Professionals to gain continuing education hours.

Program Policies
• All proposals must be complete and inclusive when submitted.
• Presentations must be delivered without endorsement, bias, marketing or sales orientation.
• Upon acceptance of a proposal, presenters must agree to submit any additional information requested by the planning committee, such as outlines and presentation slides, in the requested timeframe. This information is necessary to secure continuing education units (CEUs) for various professions, including GBCI CE Hour requirements for LEED Professionals.
• Proposals are received with the understanding that speakers are providing their services without compensation.
• USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter may request for a presentation to be modified in order to:
- Fulfill continuing education requirements.
- Adhere to venue restrictions.
- Reflect relevance of topic.
- Fit within the allotted time scheduled.
- Combine proposals as appropriate.

Material for programs approved by USGBC-MGC are to be objective in nature and cannot contain any content that could be interpreted as a promotion or endorsement of a certain product, certification/accreditation or organization. As an exception to this rule, products or organizations can be presented in the context of illustrative examples of the current concerns, issues and regulations of the topic(s) being addressed. Within PowerPoint presentations, presenters may include their company name or logo on the first and/or last slide only. The materials for this program are objective in nature and do not promote or endorse a certain product, service, certification/accreditation or organization.

Submission Evaluation and Selection
All proposals will be reviewed by the USGBC-Missouri Gateway Education Committee. Reviewers will rate proposals using the following criteria:
• Relevance to USGBC-Missouri Gateway educational objectives
• Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) relevance
• Timeliness of topic
• Subject matter appeal
• Practical application
• Appropriate educational level
• Innovative Content
• Speaker qualifications

New ideas and topics are encouraged and will be given preference in the selection process.
