Ideally, volunteers will work all 3 days of the festival, however, we are open to volunteers who can only work 1-2 days. We will do our best to accommodate returning volunteers and highly qualified new volunteers. Please fill out the form even if you cannot work the whole weekend. 

If you only want admission to 1 or 2 days of the festival, you must work on the same day that you want to attend. You cannot work Friday to attend Saturday. Sorry, but it gets too confusing ;-)

While we are unable to offer meals this year, we are looking for in-kind sponsorship for food, snacks, and drinks for volunteers. If you know of any companies that would be open to this arrangement, please let us know!

 
**Please note that this work trade does not include use of pools, spa, or showers. Pool passes may be purchased at the event for $15/day or $40 for 3 days.***

Peace Village Festival is a community event, with most of the work being done on a volunteer basis. If you would like to help in any way, please let us know. You are invited to join one of our co-creation teams.  We will also need quite a few volunteers for pre-festival set up and post-festival tear down.

REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS:
We now require a deposit for volunteer positions.

The deposit is $95 (plus a $5 non-refundable service fee) for 3 or 4 shifts. It is $45 (plus a $5 non-refundable service fee) for 1 or 2 shifts. Deposits need to be paid by June 1, 2023. If this is a hardship please email Emet Love (Volunteer Coordinator) at pvfvolunteer@gmail.com. She will work hard to make a modification so the event is still accessible to you. Deposits, however, do need to be made.

Deposits will be refunded to all volunteers who fulfill their volunteer commitments. Volunteers who do not fulfill their requirements will not receive a refund. These refunds will be made by 2 weeks after the show, directly to the credit card, debit card, or PayPal account that was used to make the deposit. Cash refunds will not be available at the event.

Instructions on how to pay your deposit will be detailed in an acceptance email that we will send to you if your application is accepted. Please save "pvfvolunteer@gmail.com" into your contacts so that our emails do not go to spam!

CANCELLATIONS
Please note that cancellations (if absolutely necessary) will be accepted through June 1, 2023. If you cancel by then, you will receive your deposit back soon after the event, however, you will not be refunded the non-refundable $5 service fee, which we are charged. Cancellations made after June 1, 2023, are extremely inconvenient for us. Refunds may be possible for emergency situations with documentation provided.

We cannot guarantee a specific schedule but if you would like to be considered for working similar shifts with a certain person please list below. It is also helpful for us to know if you function as a early bird, night owl, or are fine to put anywhere. We have shifts starting at 8am and going as late as 12pm, as well as overnight shifts.

ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AGREEMENT

I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH PEACE VILLAGE FESTIVAL 2023, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible liability without fault. 

I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently prepared for participation in this activity, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. I certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude my participation in this activity. 

I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity. 

In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: 

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS from any and all liability—both personal liability and liability to accompanying minors—including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Peace Village Festival, Jackson WellSprings LLC, Health Research Institute, Emet Events, Larry Morningstar, Joseph Lian, Gerry Lehrburger, Beverly Lehrburger, Angela Blackwell, and/or their directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers (together, “Releasees”); 

(B) I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in paragraph (A) from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of Releasees or otherwise. 

I acknowledge that Releasees are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf. 

I acknowledge that this activity—like many common activities—may involve a test of a person's physical and mental endurance and—like many common activities—carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers. 

I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity. 

This Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible by the laws of the State of Oregon. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. This release contains the entire agreement between the parties to this release and the terms of this release are contractual and not a mere recital.

I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT. AND I SIGN IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
