Artistic Services Application 2020
The Artistic Services category is limited to balloon twisters, jugglers, magicians, face painters & caricature artists. Preapproval is required for any other discipline/talent.

NOTE: Art and Craft vendors wishing to vend as part of the Art & Craft Market must apply and be approved through Zapplication.

Policies and Guidelines
The fee for Artistic Service Vendors is $10/day or $100 for the season. Fees must be paid in advance (prior to or on the day) of participation. Fees will not exceed $100 for the season.

All Artistic Services vendors must check-in at the Southside Market Information booth each week to secure their designated location and pay the applicable fee. Limited space is available. All locations are first come first served on a weekly basis. Market Staff has the authority to move and re-assign any vendor to enhance or facilitate market operations.

All Artistic Services vendors must obtain permission from Market Management to move locations. Artistic Services vendors may post prices for their services. It is the responsibility of all Market vendors to report all income to the state tax commission.

Artistic Services vendors may not erect any tent, easy-up, or structure of any kind. Market Management has attempted to designate specific areas that limit sun exposure.

Artistic Services vendors may take only the space essential to the activity and may not block the market aisles with chairs, tables, or non-essential materials.

Artistic Services vendors are responsible for cleaning their space before leaving. Offenses will be documented and offenders will be prohibited from participating in future Markets.

Electricity is not provided. Amplification of any kind is not tolerated.

Artistic Services vendors are not allowed to bring any vehicles into the park. No exceptions. Parking facilities are available in surrounding parking structures and on the street. Check with the Market Staff for information about available parking facilities or visit our website at

Knives, swords, torches, flames, axes, saws or other objects that can cause bodily injury to any person are prohibited.

The Market is open rain, shine, or snow. Hours are 8 AM to 2 PM.
Liability Insurance
Face painters and bodywork professionals are required to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) or greater for each market attended. Downtown Farmers Market/Urban Food Connections of Utah must be named as an “Additional Insured” on the Certificate. If you have insurance, speak with your agent about adding UFCU. If you do not currently have insurance, please plan to get insurance before the start of the season.

Urban Food Connections of Utah (UFCU) reserves the right to refuse participation to any who do not comply with market rules, regulations or meet market standards which include but are not limited to adhering to all local, city, state, and federal laws.

UFCU welcomes all regardless of race; color; national or ethnic origin; age; religion; disability; sex; sexual orientation; gender; gender identity and expression; including a transgender identity; genetics; veteran status; and any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law.

UFCU, The Downtown Alliance, and the Downtown Farmers Market are not liable for any injury, theft, or damage to either the buyer, tabling agent, or seller, or their property, arising from or pertaining to preparation for or participation in the Downtown Farmers Market. Regardless of whether such injury, theft, or damage occurred prior, during, or after the Downtown Farmers Market. Organizations and individuals further agree to indemnify and hold The Downtown Alliance, Urban Food Connections of Utah, and the Downtown Farmers Market harmless for and against any claims for such injury, theft, or damage.

Should UFCU receive a complaint from other vendors or customers, the Market Staff may revoke participation privileges indefinitely.
