Submit to the Art For Reparations Benefit Auction for the Black Power Blueprint!
Scheduled for December 2018 in Boston, MA, this dynamic art auction and concert is a fundraiser for the Black Power Blueprint project in St Louis, Missouri. The Black Power Blueprint is building economic development programs by & for the working-class black community, such as: an Uhuru House venue space and community center; the One Africa! One Nation! Marketplace; the Uhuru Jiko community-commercial kitchen; housing; community gardens and so much more.

Art For Reparations (A4R) is a project of the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, an organization of white people created by the African People’s Socialist Party which organizes in the white community for reparations to African people. A4R raises material resources to African people and offers white artists the opportunity to take responsibility for the parasitism of the gentrifying, colonial-capitalist art institutions and music industry that we benefit from by allowing us to use our creativity to forward the African revolution, building towards a socialist economy lead by the African People's Socialist Party.

All people are welcome to submit work across all mediums. We encourage new work that is inspired by revolution, resistance, discipline, organization, anti-colonial struggle; also beautiful, fun, poetic, well-made and showing your highest craftsmanship as an artist. We live in the crisis of imperialism where capitalism is dying at the hands of anti-colonial resistance around the world. It is a powerful stance as an artist to make something during this era of crisis, with a calm head knowing that our art is going to directly benefit working-class African people who are building for self-determination around the world, to build a world in which nobody is oppressed.

Open to submissions of traditional art that can be framed, as well as custom creative services such as a tattoo design, mural painting, architect consultation, portrait painting, hair cut & style, graphic design work, music lessons or any unique service you would like to be made available as part of this benefit auction. We are open to your ideas, please get in touch at artreparations@gmail.com.
