Complete this application to become an Educational Trip Leader Instructor. Applications will be reviewed by the ETL Oversight Committee, and you will be contacted within 30 days about the status of your application. 

Prior to completing this application, please thoroughly read through the ETL information webpage.

Please note the following requirements to become an ETL Instructor:
  • you must be 18 years old or older,
  • you must hold a current ETL permit or a current Registered Maine Guide license, 
  • you must be able to provide documentation of your outdoor teaching experience, and
  • you must be able to provide references who can speak to your outdoor teaching experience.

This should include your outdoor leadership experiences with student/educational groups, as well as any relevant outdoor certifications you hold or trainings you have completed.
