Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez launched Operation Bright S.P.O.T. (Strategic Partner Outfoxing Trash) in November 2019, a targeted cleanup program at major business corridors in Council District 7 (CD 7).

The Council Office completed clean up along eight major corridors in Sylmar, North Hills, Lake View Terrace, Pacoima, and Mission Hills. Efforts included power washing sidewalks, gum removal, litter picking, and weed removal.
