The Southern
African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management
(SASSCAL), together with the Namibia University of Science and Technology
(NUST) established the SASSCAL Graduate Studies Programme in Integrated Water
Resources Management (SGSP – IWRM). The programme is implemented by NUST in
partnership with the International Centre of Water Resources and Global Change
(ICWRGC) based at the Institute of Hydrology in Koblenz Germany. The SGSP-IWRM
is conducting a survey in order to identify capacity needs of the SASSCAL
member states (Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia) in water,
sanitation and environment. The intention is to hear directly from industries
of the challenges they face and how these challenges can be addressed through
training. This will help to determine the needs or demand for a PhD programme
in IWRM for possible implementation with effect from 2024.
The survey will take
approximately10 minutes to complete. Your participation in this needs assessment
is voluntary and the information you provide will be strictly confidential. Anonymity will be respected by the team conducting this assessment. Please
answer the following questions in order to facilitate decision-making in this
respect.
