EWA Lifetime Achievement Prize in Memory of Mike Bowler Nomination Form
The Education Writers Association invites nominations for the newly created EWA Lifetime Achievement Prize, inspired by the late Michael H. “Mike” Bowler. The prize is to be presented for the first time this spring in honor of the longtime education writer and former EWA board president.

The prize is to be announced at EWA’s 72nd National Seminar, to be held May 6-8 in Baltimore, where Bowler covered education for The Baltimore Sun. Admired and beloved by many in the journalism and education communities, Bowler passed away in September 2018. He had been an EWA member for five decades.

For the first EWA Lifetime Achievement Prize, members are encouraged to nominate people who have devoted a major portion of their careers to education journalism and contributed to the field more broadly.
