Pay: $13.00/hr to start (90-day training rate), with a review and step-up to $14.00–$15.00/hr upon checklist and POS competency, plus retail/commission incentive opportunities

Kidtopia Salon is a children's hair salon built around making kids (and their parents) actually enjoy a haircut. Our front desk is the first and last impression every family gets — we're looking for someone who can make that impression a great one, every time.
What You'll Do
- Greet every family warmly the moment they walk in — kids and parents both
- Check guests in/out and manage appointment scheduling using our point-of-sale system (Square)
- Run daily Opening and Closing Checklists to keep the salon guest-ready
- Answer phones and messages, book and confirm appointments
- Keep retail displays stocked, tidy, and easy to shop — and confidently recommend products to parents
- Support stylists by keeping the floor moving, stations stocked, and the space clean between guests
- Handle payment processing and light cash handling accurately
- Help create a fun, calm environment for kids who may be nervous about haircuts
What We're Looking For
- Availability is non-negotiable: must be able to reliably work Tuesday–Thursday, 11:00am–6:00pm, plus every other Friday (11:00am–6:00pm) and Saturday (9:00am–3:30pm) on that same rotation, and Sundays when we're open (holidays/busy season). Please do not apply if you cannot commit to this schedule.
- Highly detail-oriented — able to follow a checklist precisely, every time, without reminders
- Focused and self-directed during slow periods (restocking, tidying, prepping) rather than needing to be told what to do next
- Comfortable and patient with young children, including nervous or upset kids
- Strong communicator — friendly, clear, and professional with parents
- Comfortable learning scheduling/POS software (Square experience a plus, not required)
- Retail or customer service experience preferred
- Team player — this is a small shop and everyone pitches in

Schedule
Tuesday–Thursday, 11:00am–6:00pm (every week)
Every other Friday, 11:00am–6:00pm
Every other Saturday, 9:00am–3:30pm (minimum 3 Saturdays/month)
