La Posada, supported by the Sisters of Divine Providence, provides shelter while immigrants and asylum seekers wait for their cases to be adjudicated before the U.S. Immigration Court and for asylees as they take steps toward achieving permanent resident status.
St. Teresa parishioners are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills and offer their friendship at La Posada as part of our Border Ministry. No experience is necessary. This is an opportunity to live out our faith.
"...I was a stranger and you welcomed me..." (Matthew 25:35)
When considering the duration of your time at La Posada, please keep in mind that a minimum of 3 days during the week is strongly encouraged. The clients have the weekends to themselves, so there are no tasks to be done and only the sisters are around the shelter.
After you submit this form, Nhu Phan will reach out to you to provide more information about logistics. You can also email Nhu at email@example.com if you have questions now.
