の噴出など、京大、大学を取り巻く情勢は厳しくなっています。そのような中で、再び「自治」とは何か、そして「大学」とは何かを問い直し、より自由な大学を作り直すための道筋を示すシンポジウムを開きたいと考えます。
On 19 December 2023, six years will have passed since the unilateral notice of eviction against the Yoshida Dormitory residents and Tatekan (billboard) regulation. Over the past six years, the situation surrounding Kyoto University and other universities has become increasingly severe, with Slapp lawsuits against Yoshida Dormitory residents, the abolition of the Health Clinic, the “Universities of International Research Excellence” issue, and the proposed amendment to the National University Corporation Law. Against this backdrop, we would like to hold the symposium to reexamine what “autonomy” and “university” really mean or how they should be like, and to show the way to rebuild a freer university.
