The San Mateo County Office of Arts and Culture is seeking volunteers 8 years of age and up to help paint a series of murals along the 5th Avenue Underpass in North Fair Oaks. The artworks have been pre-designed by local artist Emily Fromm, with the theme of “Healthy Community”. She and a team of artist helpers will be onsite to guide volunteers through a fun day of painting outdoors, referring to printed “maps” of the artwork. No experience is necessary! We will provide all painting materials and instructions for participants. 

Please just bring water, sunscreen, snacks, and arrive wearing comfortable shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.

All participants will be briefed on safety guidelines on the day-of, and asked to sign a liability and photo release ahead of time. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please direct all questions to Larra Olson at lavenderlarra@gmail.com.
