LDS Missionary Language Survey

Those of us who have served missions understand how difficult learning a new language can be. There are many aspects of the language and culture of the people we served which we had to either learn on the job or learn after our missions.

I'm writing a book aiming to teach the new generation of missionaries what is important to learn about their mission languages and culture before they hit the MTC. The premise is this: you've received your mission call to a foreign land and are tasked with learning a foreign tongue. You have 1-3 months before you check into the MTC and begin your mission. What can you do to prepare yourself? What tools and resources are available to you now that won't be once your mission begins? What will you learn in the MTC, and what should you learn before you enter?

I want to write this book with the most accurate representation of what my generation of missionaries wishes they would have known about language learning before they served. I've created this survey to gather your feedback in order to incorporate it into the book. Please take five minutes to answer the following questions. Thank you very much for your feedback and time!
