Civic Leaders Initiative: The Intersection of Local Government and Community Advocacy

Important Dates for the Civic Leaders Initiative (CLI)We are excited to launch the Civic Leaders Initiative (CLI) in January 2025! Classes are held in the Isla Vista Community Room: 970 Embarcadero Del Mar, on Thursdays at 6pm. All classes will be 60 minutes with the exception of the first and last day of instruction being 90 minutes.
Here are the key dates you need to know:
- Applications Open: November 26, 2024
- Applications Close: December 31, 2024
- Student Confirmation: January 3, 2024 - Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program.
- Start Date: January 16, 2025 - Students will begin the series with an optional networking event with IVCSD Board members and staff.
- First Class: January 23, 2025 (90 minutes)
- Last Class: March 6, 2025 (90 minutes)
