Program: West Side Story & Carmen Suite

Cape Symphony's Young People's Concert brings live orchestral music to Cape Cod's elementary and early middle school students with a free performance designed especially for them. It's an annual favorite.

This year's program features Leonard Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and the Carmen Suite based on Georges Bizet's famous opera. Students will learn about the instruments of the orchestra, and consider how music influences dance styles and rhythms. How do we tell stories through dance?

 Let's explore together! Two concerts will be presented on Tuesday, November 17th; the first at 10:00 AM, with a second seating at 11:45 AM. Registering your school in advance is required and both concerts fill up quickly, so sign-up today and secure your spot!

As always, this program is free to all participants due to generous grant funding and donors!
