Named after the first Black American to graduate from college in the United States, Alexander Twilight Academy (ATA) is a free academic enrichment program that provides hard working, high potential Boston-area students from under-resourced backgrounds with supplemental high-quality educational and life-enriching opportunities. Through rigorous, year-round academic programming, ATA prepares middle school students to earn admission to and thrive at the nation's top high schools. ATA makes a long-term commitment to serve each student and family we admit from middle school through college and beyond.

Through a holistic curriculum of student-centered academics and leadership development, ATA empowers students to thrive in all educational settings and pursue lives of passion and purpose. ATA aims to nurture the development of the next generation of great thinkers, creators, and changemakers.
 
Alexander Twilight Academy enrolls students who:

- Show a strong desire to learn and pursue their passions/areas of interest
- Aspire to be leaders in their communities and the larger world
- Want to build close relationships with their teachers and peers
- Are motivated to work hard in order to reach their full potential
