Big Darby Creek Pickaway County Survey
Currently the Big Darby Creek has no public access sites for canoe and kayaks. As a part of the Park District's levy promise, the District is looking into Big Darby Creek canoe/kayak access. The District applied for a Paddling Enhancement Grant through ODNR Parks and Watercraft and has received funding to put in a canoe/kayak access at the intersection of the Big Darby Creek and Scioto-Darby Road. The construction for this project is planned to begin in the Spring of 2021. The District is pursing another Paddling Enhancement Grant for an access into the Big Darby at S.R. 762 in Orient. The Park District will learn more about if we will be receiving funding for this grant by early summer of 2021.
