Glenmore Tornadoes 2024 VOLUNTEER    COMMITTMENT FORM
The Glenmore Tornadoes, like the entire Jefferson Swim League (JSL), runs on volunteers. Did you know it takes more than 100 volunteers to run every dual meet? When you sign your child up for the season, you are also making a volunteer commitment. It not only helps that you are part of a well-run meet, but it supports your swimmers, too. Glenmore is known league-wide for our excellent volunteers.

To make that happen,

 - Each family with a swimmer in a meet must provide a minimum of 1 volunteer for at least ½ of that meet.  This is a minimum. If some families are away on any given week, it may reduce our eligible volunteers and you may be asked to work a whole meet.

 - If a swimmer is swimming part of a meet that parents are not attending, the parents must make arrangements to fill the volunteer position. Volunteer slots can be filled by parents, grandparents, siblings , babysitters.  As long as the person is 13 or over they can volunteer.

 - If your child is not swimming a home meet, a volunteer may still be needed. We have a small team and home meets require more workers when we are hosts.

Few of the volunteer positions require formal, class training. If you are interested in one of these positions (Computer, Stroke and Turn, Backup Starter), please contact the Meet Director. Volunteer duties can be learned quickly - even if you haven’t had experience with swimming before. The Parent Committee and Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with you to find a suitable position. Direct inquiries and questions to glenmoreswimming@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Glenmore Tornadoes Parent Committee
