BioBlitz Field Trip Request Form - 2019/2020
The Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center is nestled in a large meander of the San Joaquin River, located approximately seven miles south of Manteca. Students in grades 6-12 participate in a BioBlitz. Students will work in small groups to identify and record as many species as possible at the Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center using a map, a data collection template, and the iNaturalist App. Students will contribute to the Durham Ferry database of species and learn about the ecosystem in their local environment.  This is a great way for students to develop a love for nature and to begin to understand the challenges that face our environment.
