Join the Lindeneau PTO as a Board Member or committee person!

Do you love planning events?  Have a flair for decorating?  Have connections in the community?  Have a way with numbers?  Get a thrill when you see a child smile?  Then the PTO and our school needs you!    We are loosing members of the board as their children move onto middle school.

We need people to fill the spots of departing board members.  Without YOUR help, the children are in jeopardy of not having Tiger Shop, events like the ice cream social or boogie bash, Scholastic book fairs, Fun & Field day and more!  

Without the PTO, the school and children will lose out on new books for the library, transportation for class trips, expenses covered for assemblies, yearbooks gifted to our 5th graders, school wide class shirts and so much more!!

The PTO should be a committee of the diverse community of our school to ensure all the children and families are represented.  Any amount of time you can provide is welcomed!  You’ll develop relationships with other Lindeneau families, the school’s administration and you’ll have some fun too!

PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD DESCRIPTIONS:
Positions can be shared with current members.  It’s a great way to learn about the board by sharing a position with members.
▢  President - Overall representative of the PTO
▢  Vice President - Aide to the President; representative for PTO in President’s absence
▢  Recording Secretary - keeps the minutes of our meetings; retains copy of our bylaws; keeps the calendar of events
▢  Corresponding Secretary - Handles correspondence of the PTO including flyers, newsletters and other information
▢  Treasurer - the money person; handles payments; prepares financial reports, prepares budget; maintains financial status

2022-2023 COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
▢  Multicultural Committee - Point person to ensure all PTO activities represent the diverse community of our school.
▢  Website - Manages the PTO website, social media feeds and mailing lists.  Write posts and keep the online presence current.
▢  Tiger Shop – Stock and replenishes store inventory.  Help students shop for school supplies on the first Friday of each month.
▢  Dine Out Nights - Coordinates a monthly “dine to donate” fundraiser nights with local restaurants and businesses.
▢  Spiritwear - Coordinates the selection, design, ordering, inventory, and sales of school spiritwear and field trip T-shirts.
▢  Ice Cream Social – Organizes the school-wide social event in Sept. in which the staff help serve ice cream to families.
▢  Fall / Spring Fundraiser - Coordinates the fall and spring fundraisers.  Duties include distribution of catalogs, collection and submission of orders and distribution of orders.
▢  Scholastic Book Fair - Organizes the fair with Scholastic three times yearly.
▢  Boogie Bash - Organizes our popular Halloween themed family event including DJ, decorating, trunk-or-treating, snacks and crafts.
▢  Holiday Store – Manages the Holiday Store in December in which students can shop for gifts for family and friends.  
▢  Breakfast with Santa - Organizes our holiday family event including  decorations, pictures, hot breakfast and crafts/activities.
▢  Teacher Appreciation Day - Organizes the luncheon/day for our Lindeneau teachers during Teacher Appreciation Day in May.
▢  Mother’s Day Sale/Donuts with Dad - Manages the Mother’s Day flower sale and Father’s Day “Donuts with Dad” events in May.
▢  Fun & Field Day - Organizes all activities for June’s field day including supplies, schedules, volunteers and activities.
