Welcome! We're so glad you're interested in volunteering with us. Gizmo volunteers get to be part of a unique community were ideas thrive and become reality. Before completing this application, please review the steps of our volunteer application and on-boarding process below.
1) Recommendation: Prior to filling out this application, you might want to do the following:
- Visit Gizmo! Walk-in tours for potential volunteers are available during operating hours.
- Review the Volunteer Categories on our website.
- Considered your own capacity and availability to serve.
- Gizmo is not only about building projects but also about building relationships. We aim to create long-term volunteers that become part of our close-knit community.
2) Application: This application is the start of your journey. In total, you should expect to spend no more than 15 minutes completing this application.
3) On-Boarding: New volunteers will complete both a general on-boarding as well as position-specific training, during which time a general schedule and position duties will be worked out with your supervisor. On-boarding for new volunteers takes place the first week of each month or as determined by the Volunteer Coordinator.
4) Background Check: Following your acceptance as a volunteer, you will need to complete a background check.
