This form is the first step in joining Fez Art Residency - a place-based programme working at the intersection of contemporary practice, cultural context, and artist career development.
Based in the Medina of Fez, our programmes offer artists the opportunity to engage with one of the world’s most historically rich creative environments, while developing both their work and the direction of their practice at their own pace.
As a natural entry point to longer-term residencies, the Artist Immersion Week is designed for artists who want to experience Fez before committing to a more extended stay. It is particularly suited to those looking to connect with traditional craftsmanship, find new sources of inspiration, and reflect on how their practice can grow, both creatively and professionally.
The Artist Immersion Week is not a passive residency, and is best suited to artists who are curious, self-directed, and open to new ways of thinking about their work and where it can go.
Fez Art Residency works with a select number of international and local artists each year. Your responses will help us understand your practice, your intentions, and how this experience can support your development at this stage.
We review each application individually and work with a small number of artists at a time.
