Our selection of cherry trees are all in the family of pie cherries, we can't grow the larger, sweeter Bing types in South Dakota.  They are not winter hardy.  The selections we have are very hardy, and left to ripen on the tree, have good sweetness.  We eat ours directly from the tree/shrub.  These cherries are natural dwarfs.  The tree form only reaches 15-18' tall and the shrub cherries reach 8-10' tall.  These cherries are self-fertile, you only need one to get fruit, although you will have a better fruit set with multiple tree.  Trees will be 4-5' in height when you get them, starting to produce 2-3 years after planting.

COMMENT BOX-If you need quantities other than what our order sheet has available, please tell us what you need in the comments box.
Cherry Tree Sweet Cherry Pie-Sweet Cherry Pie is a cherry tree with large cherries that are sweeter than most other sour cherry varieties.  Although perhaps a little tart for fresh eating, its cherries are a fantastic choice for jams, jellies, and baking.  With a relatively compact growing size of 15 feet high and 12 feet wide, this tree is perfect for a home garden or small orchard.   Sweet Cherry Pie is self-fruitful so you don’t need a second tree to get fruit.  These trees flower in May and the fruit ripens in mid-July.
Cherry Tree Lapin-Lapin is a pie cherry tree with fruit that is smaller sized.  Although perhaps a little tart for fresh eating, its cherries are a fantastic choice for jams, jellies, and baking.  With a relatively compact growing size of 15 feet high and 12 feet wide, this tree is perfect for a home garden or small orchard.   Lapin self-fruitful so you don’t need a second tree to get fruit.  These trees flower in May and the fruit ripens in mid-July.
Cherry Tree Mesabi- Although perhaps a little tart for fresh eating, its cherries are a fantastic choice for jams, jellies, and baking.  With a relatively compact growing size of 15 feet high and 12 feet wide, this tree is perfect for a home garden or small orchard.   Mesabi is self-fruitful so you don’t need a second tree to get fruit.  These trees flower in May and the fruit ripens in mid-July.
