We’re pleased you’re applying to live at SEASALT Housing Co-operative! (Appledore Road, Moulsecoomb, BN2 4PS)
The biggest difference between SEASALT and a regular shared student house comes from its unique lease partnership with Brighton & Hove Community Land Trust who aim to provide affordable and environmentally sustainable housing solutions in Brighton & Hove. This partnership allows members of SEASALT to have a greater sense of ownership of the house and far more autonomy in making long-term material changes to their housing conditions. With this autonomy comes a responsibility to the property and to each other so please make sure you are comfortable with the values of SEASALT Housing Co-operative and the rent price (£105/week and £455 per month) before you apply.
The application process is as much about you getting to know us as it is about us getting to know you.
There are 2 sections to this form:
Section 1 is functional information required so SEASALT can ensure that you are eligible to apply, that we have a suitable room available for you and to consider any key factors which may affect your housing situation and give priority to those we consider ‘of housing need’.
Section 2 is to show why you are interested in living in SEASALT specifically. This section will be what is primarily considered when looking at applications.
