Outdoor Lab High School Leader Application
It is an honor, privilege, responsibility and commitment to be a high school leader for Outdoor Lab. Students who are juniors and seniors (occasionally sophomores) have the unique opportunity to serve as high school leaders. While at the week-long program, high school leaders help 6th graders learn about science, history, and mountain ecosystems. For the leaders themselves, they learn skills in communication, critical thinking/problem solving, self-direction, personal responsibility and stewardship. To many of the students at Outdoor Lab, the most important person is the high school leader- as they serve as guides, teachers, friends, advisers and a source of inspiration. In order to fulfill these expectations, the high school leader must be emotionally mature, use good judgement and demonstrate a natural love and respect for children, as well as the environment.
You must meet the following qualifications in order to apply to be a High School Leader:
-Student must have at least a 2.0 GPA or higher
-Student must have good attendance
-Student must have a good behavior record
