-POSITIVE + ENCOURAGING—always and for everyone. Anyone who is not will be asked to leave.-Take artistic risks—feel free to try out new songs, new poems, or improvise something new. This is a space to play and be creative!
-No profanity—no curse words, slurs or language about drugs/alcohol. We want you to express yourself, but since we're in school, the same rules that apply to the classroom apply here.
-No place for hate—any forms of racism, sexism or homophobia won't be tolerated. This is a safe space where students of all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultural groups, gender identities, and sexual orientations are encouraged and supported.
-Be respectful of your time—one song each (roughly 2-3mins) until everyone that wants to has performed. Then mic is opened for repeat performances.
-Be prepared—come with your tracks ready to play off of your phone.
-Connect, make friends, meet new people—the purpose is to share, learn, and grow together as a community. Don't leave without making at least one new friend!
