Solar Science Kit Request Form
Use this form to request use of one the Solar Science kits from the State Library of North Carolina (SLNC). The State Library owns 2 Multi-generational Solar Telescope & More Kits and 2 Solar Eclipse Activities & More Kits. Before you submit your request, please check the Solar Science Kit Circulation Calendar to see if one will be available during for your desired borrowing dates.

By submitting this request, you acknowledge the following about use of the kit:
  • Kits requests will be fulfilled subject to kit availability. SLNC cannot guarantee that the kit(s) you request will be available for your requested dates.
  • SLNC will ensure you receive the kit(s) and your library is responsible for returning to the State Library in Raleigh.
  • The kit(s) will be loaned out to the library for a period of 8 weeks, so determine the time frame you need it prior to submitting your request. SLNC needs a minimum of two weeks, preferably more, to arrange delivery.
  • After submitting this form, you will be contacted via email to finalize your request within 5 business days.
  • Questions about the request process or setup of the kit should be directed to Jasmine Rockwell via email at jasmine.rockwell@ncdcr.gov.
