We ask that you arrive at the Heart Institute and begin set-up on Friday, October 5 at 7:30am and break down exhibitions at 4:00pm.
Exhibit Space: The North Carolina English Teachers Association is handling arrangements relating to exhibits at the statewide conference. The exhibits will be housed in ECU’s Heart Institute. The Heart Institute is open for business on Friday. To ensure that we do not interfere with the care of heart patients, exhibitors must use a considerate tone of voice and volume. Exhibits may not use audio.
Table Fee: Tables are available for $300 each. An exhibitor may request up to two tables. Tables may not be brought in.
Tables: Each table will be approximately 3’ X 6’ with two chairs and a sign with your organization’s name. Exhibitors may request up to two tables for an additional fee and must indicate the number of tables they are requesting on the registration form. Exhibitors may request electric outlet access, which will be granted in the order that the registration and payment are received.
Conference Registration: Conference registration is not included in the exhibitor table fee or sponsorship fee.
Parking: Parking will be on-site and attendants will be present to direct participants and exhibitors to the designated parking.
Character of Exhibits: Products and/or services related to the educational and professional development of conference participants are suitable for exhibition. The conference exhibit management reserves the right to decline or prohibit any exhibit which, in their judgment, is not suitable to or in keeping with the character of the exhibition. The primary purpose of the exhibits is to show and demonstrate wares or services that can be used by teachers and support/administrative personnel in the conduct of classroom and internal/external laboratory activities.
Security: Doors will be unlocked at 7:00 on Saturday morning. We recommend, however, that electronics and other portable items of considerable value be secured by exhibitors.
Liability: The exhibitor agrees to comply with the fire, safety, and health regulations of the Heart Institute. Exhibit materials and equipment must be duly protected by safety guards and devices, where necessary, to prevent accidents. The exhibitor further agrees to make no claims against North Carolina Central University or the North Carolina English Teachers Association or their employees or representatives for loss, theft, damage or destruction of goods, or for injury to exhibitors themselves or their employees. All exhibit material should be insured by the exhibitor from the time it leaves their firm until it is returned to them from the show.
Registration Deadline: Registration and payment must be received by September 7 to insure that your organization is well-publicized.
Hotel Accommodations: Holiday Inn Express. Call 252-754-8300 to book your room.
