New officers will be provided with transition information and past event information, in addition to a list of faculty at GT in an acoustics research field. Note, all the below tasks descriptions are subject to change according to the new group of officers, however these are suggested and previously performed roles.
President: - Organize officer meetings, including task delegation and setting of objectives- Keep SGA, ASA national office, etc updated as necessary for changes in group (about once per year)- Keep on track of things for meetings: scheduling rooms, food, presenters, etc- Schedule faculty for seminars- Ensure ONE officer attends the annual Regional Chapter meeting at the ASA Conference
Vice President:- Helps to organize member events, including (but not limited to) the symposium, lunch lectures, and other social activitie- Organizes the food for events - Provides and records sign in sheets for events & meetings- Updates the member email list
Secretary: - Maintain meeting minutes- Making the posters for lectures and events (and posts)- Posting announcements about upcoming events to the website
Treasurer:- Keep records for ASA Annual Financial Status Report - Handle agency account reimbursements and deposits through Georgia Tech Student Organization Finance Office
Representative to National- Attend the national ASA meeting if required (partial funding typically provided by the group & ASA HQ)- Update ASA HQ with new officer contact information
Member-at-Large (typically reserved for past officers)- Provide background information regarding ASA past years as needed- Assist with events as needed
