The mandatory OAA Continuing Education Program reflects the Association’s dedication to promoting and increasing the knowledge, skill, and proficiency of its members, and administering the Architects Act in order to serve and protect the public interest.

The OAA provides ConEd opportunities during the Conference as well as through the OAA Continuing Education Webinar Series to ensure learning opportunities for its members.

The OAA is now looking for presenters who would like to share best practices, expert knowledge, tips and tricks, and stories of interest to the architect profession on the topics below, especially related to the theme of Reshaping Communities, as well the OAA’s five-year strategic plan, which includes “Climate Action” and “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” as important lenses. The six major topics are:

1. Legal or Practice Issues
2. Climate Action and the Environment
3. Case Studies and Projects
4. Ontario Building Code

5. Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (Including Accessibility)

6. Design Tools or Building Materials
