We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to
join our team as a General Office Assistant. You will provide
legal support and perform various administrative tasks in this role.
As a General Office Assistant, your duties will include managing
incoming and outgoing mail, answering phones, scheduling appointments,
delivering and collecting documents and payments to and from clients, and
maintaining accurate records. You will also be responsible for maintaining
office supplies and equipment and providing assistance to our legal team as
needed.
As a Junior Lawyer, you will be responsible for conducting
legal research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with various legal
tasks. You will work closely with management and have the opportunity to learn
from and contribute to our legal team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft, review,
and negotiate commercial & labor agreements
- Play critical
roles in due diligence and closings deals
- Prepare legal
documents & correspondence letters
- Representing the
company in labor-related matters and protecting the rights and interests
of the organization
- Prepare,
organize, and internal document meetings, workshops, training, etc.
- Maintain office
services as required, including answering phones, coordinating &
scheduling meetings, and visitors
- Schedule &
organize appointments, meetings, engagements, and conferences
- Receive and
review incoming correspondence and review with the company manager &
other employees
- Collect &
deliver different legal, and non-legal documents & payments to and
from clients
- Organize &
maintain legal and general office files
- Review outgoing
correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, format, and
presentation.
- Produce written
documents using Microsoft office.
- Accurately cites
authoritative cases, opinions, and miscellaneous references in briefs.
- Document
translations (Amharic, English & Afan Oromo)
- Based on
specific requests & instructions, use general reference sources and
legal research tools to gather information to assist attorneys in
performing legal research duties.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Degree in accounting, law, engineering...
- Excellent
negotiating, drafting, problem-solving, and communications skills.
- Ability to work
effectively with senior management and operations personnel, simultaneously
manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with consistently
high-quality work products.
- Some level of
experience working on bids
- Fluent in
English, Amharic & some other local languages
