Our team of volunteers works year-round — every year — to increase political engagement in the US from Mexico. No matter your interests, skills and availability, there is a way for you to contribute.
Note: The Board of Directors and Vice Chair positions require greater time commitment, but are still feasible for working professionals. All other activities have flexible time commitments.

Board of Directors & Vice Chair positions
DIVERSITY VICE CHAIR — Develop and implement strategies to increase the diversity of our membership.
EVENTS COORDINATOR — Develop and coordinate online events for members (i.e. workshops, speaker series)
FUNDRAISING CHAIR — Develop fundraising activities to produce a positive cash flow to fund our programs
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER — Work with team leadership to develop and execute a social media plan
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR — Recruit and manage volunteers to support the organization’s activities
Social Media Roles
SOCIAL MEDIA POSTER — Keep DA social media channels updated; post content relevant to different audiences
DESIGNER — create images/graphics for advertising campaigns, events, and social media
DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST — Design campaigns that support overall messaging initiatives (previous marketing experience preferred)
SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATOR — Respond to messages on social media and to comments on posts, offer voter support on social media during election season
Public Relations Roles
PRESS OUTREACH REPRESENTATIVE — Represent Dems Abroad Mexico in national media
PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST — Develop talking points and messaging for DA media appearances (ideal for political news junkies)
PRESS RELATIONS SPECIALIST — Develop press releases to share DA messaging and activities with local, national and international media agents.
TRANSLATOR — Provide English-Spanish translations of communications
PARTNER MANAGER — Develop relationships & synergies with partner organizations near you.
WRITER — Draft newsletters, emails, invitations, and/or blog posts for members
Election Season Roles
PHONEBANKER — Contact potential voters through sms and voice calls, using DA's online system
SOCIAL MEDIA VOTING ASSISTANT — Monitor and respond to voter inquiries on social media
PERSONAL VOTING ASSISTANT — Contact voters via phone, chat, or other platforms for personalized assistance
FACEBOOK GROUP SHARER — Share posts about voting in Facebook groups
INFLUENCER MANAGER — Develop relationships with social media influencers to help spread the word about voting
Volunteer to support your local chapter - we will put you in touch with chapter leadership! We currently have local organizations in CDMX, Guadalajara, Lake Chapala, Mazatlán, Mérida, Puerto Vallarta, San Miguel de Allende, and Tijuana
