We are seeking local artists, authors, poets, vendors and makers to help us celebrate Tulsa's creative communities while supporting an important cause: ADULT LITERACY! The second annual VERSES event will take place at Central Library on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. 

We are looking for:
  • Local artists, vendors, writers and other makers to showcase and sell their work at VERSES. 
  • Original works of art or other unique items, services and experiences to include in the VERSES 2024 auction - proceeds to benefit the literacy program.
  • Artists interested in creating works live onsite during the event as part of the auction- proceeds to benefit the literacy program.
  • Poets, authors and spoken-word performers interested in doing live readings at the event.
General info:
  • VERSES is a ticketed event with accessible ticket pricing ($25 for a single ticket), held annually in support of the Ruth G. Hardman Adult Literacy Service
  • VERSES will feature a makers market showcasing a variety of vendors along with live readings, performances, art making, a silent auction, and food and drink from local eateries!
  • The inaugural event in 2023 had 200+ in attendance with more than 30 vendors and over $8,000 raised for the literacy program! We plan to make this year even bigger and better.
  • The event will take place in both the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Foundation Garden and Aaronson Auditorium, with the Pocahontas Greadington Learning and Creativity Center as an alternate location for the Tandy Garden in case of inclement weather. 
  • This event will be well publicized online and through various local media outlets. 
Vendor booth rental details:
  • Vendors keep all sale proceeds from the event.
  • 5-foot tables and chairs will be provided by the library.
  • Rental fees are as follows: $50 for a half table - individual, $100 for a full table - individual, $200 for a full table - business or organization. 
  • All booth rental fees go toward supporting the adult literacy program.
  • Vendors providing an interactive element/activity or donating something to the auction may be eligible for a discounted fee.
Must be 18+ or list a parent/guardian as main contact when completing this form. This is an all-ages event. Completion of this form does not guarantee participation.
