2024 Windward Exhibition Artist Application

SailMaine is excited to open our call for painted sails for the fifth Windward Exhibition during the SailMaine Festival and Regatta. The event takes place on Saturday, August 10 on Casco Bay! Each accepted artist will receive a $250 stipend to support with costs of materials and time. Sails used in 2024 will be for an Optimist dinghy boat and have about 15 square feet of surface area on each side to paint.

Important Dates:

May 15th - Artist Application Opens
May 31st - Artist Application Closes

June 3rd - Artists notified of acceptance
June 3 to June 15 - Artists pick up sails from SailMaine
August 1 - Sails returned to SailMaine
