Darfield Artweek Volunteers 2026
Darfield Artweek requires an army of volunteers to run each year! 

This year's exhibition is scheduled to run Saturday, 10 October - Sunday, 18 October. 
Set up dates for the exhibition will be across Wednesday, 7 and Thursday, 8 October, with opening night 7pm - 9pm Friday, 9 October. Collection days are Sunday, 18 October from 4pm and Monday, 19 October from 10am approximately.

Are you interested in joining our Darfield Artweek Committee? Meetings vary between daytime and evenings, we are flexible with your availability *
Are you interested in helping on delivery and collection days? 

We require people to greet artists as they deliver work, matching information received with works delivered, "runners" placing artworks in the rec centre, artwork size checking and then a reverse of this process on collection day. 

These processes run across daytime and evenings, we are grateful for any time you may have.

Are you interested in helping install the exhibition? We aim to have at least 10 pairs of people working together, no experience is necessary. *
Are you interested in minding the exhibition while it's running? You'd work in a pair, greeting visitors and making sales and either opening or closing the Rec Centre at the beginning or end of the day.  *
If you're able to mind the exhibition, please let us know days you're available and morning shift 10am - 1pm or afternoon shift: 1pm - 4pm. *
Are you able to help on Opening Night? We require help to greet visitors, serve drinks and food and clean up at the end of the evening. *
