Howard E. Ivester Early College Dual Enrollment Application 2026-2027        
APPLICATIONS FOR IVESTER HEALTHCARE SCHOLARS ARE NO LONGER BEING REVIEWED AT THIS TIME.

This application is for Hall County students who are interested in taking dual enrollment college courses at Howard E. Ivester Early College - a Hall County Schools Dual Enrollment campus in partnership with Brenau University, Lanier Technical College, and University of North Georgia (UNG) at either Ivester Early College campus:
  • Ivester Main Campus (1 Sixth Street, Gainesville, 30504 off ATL Hwy in the Chicopee Woods Village) or
  • Ivester North Campus (2480 Old Cornelia Hwy, Gainesville, 30507 off Exit 24 in Rabbit Town).
Students already attending Ivester Early College DO NOT NEED TO APPLY.  Applying multiple times WILL DELAY PROCESSING.  If you have not received a follow up email in 2 weeks, please call 678-725-7026 (MAIN CAMPUS) or 678-283-2954 (NORTH CAMPUS) to verify email addresses.   

APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER MAY 1st MAY NOT BE FULLY PROCESSED and students may not get scheduled for dual enrollment classes at Ivester due to class availability.  NOTE:  This form may not autosave if not completed in one sitting. Application may take 20-30 minutes to complete. All submitted applications will receive a confirmation email with responder answers.
  1. MEET WITH YOUR COLLEGE & CAREER Lisa.McDowell@hallco.org or Julie.Pritchard@hallco.org ,  OR HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR ABOUT DUAL ENROLLMENT OR attend a DE NIGHT county wide OR at a Dual Enrollment high school night OR at a Dual Enrollment OPEN HOUSE at Ivester Early College to learn about dual enrollment & IEC. At least one of the above should be completed prior to completing this application.
  2. COMPLETE & SUBMIT THIS IVESTER EARLY COLLEGE APPLICATION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.
  3. COLLEGE APPLICATIONS: You must also complete an additional application to at least one of the following colleges: Brenau University, Lanier Technical College, UNG
  4. SEND QUALIFYING DOCUMENTS: Request that your counselor or Ms. McDowell/Mrs. Pritchard  send your HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS TO COLLEGES. If attending UNG, you must send OFFICIAL QUALIFYING TEST SCORES (ACT, SAT or PSAT). You may request that your high school counselor send your PSAT score to psat@ung.edu.
  5. SEND all COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE EMAILS to Ivester’s document email: ECDOCS@HALLCO.ORG
  6. READ follow up emails from IVESTER EARLY COLLEGE which detail NEXT STEPS 
  7. COMPLETE 26-27 (NOT 25-26) GA FUTURES funding application for the upcoming school year when open. DO NOT COMPLETE THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR APPLICATION.                                                     *JHS students-please be sure to select the correct Johnson  High School.
COMPLETING ALL THE STEPS IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF APPLICATION PROCESSING OR SCHEDULING, BUT FAILURE TO COMPLETE ANY ONE OF THE STEPS IN A TIMELY MANNER WILL RESULT IN APPLICATION PROCESSING DELAYS WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FAILURE TO BE SCHEDULED FOR DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASSES AT IVESTER EARLY COLLEGE. Email YOUR COLLEGE & CAREER Advisor for help with your DUAL ENROLLMENT applications: Lisa.McDowell@hallco.org or Julie.Pritchard@hallco.org 

You will receive a follow up email from noreply@hallco.org regarding if your application has been PROCESSED or put ON HOLD. Please check spam and junk folders as well.

If you receive an email stating that your Ivester application is "ON HOLD", please read it carefully for steps to have your application move on to "PROCESSED".  If you receive an email stating that your Ivester application is "PROCESSED", you are required to submit official college acceptance email to ecdocs@hallco.org and complete your GA Futures funding application (both student and parent portions) in order to receive your Class Request email.  If you have question about your application being  "ON HOLD", please contact 678-725-7026 or 678-283-2954.

If you are a current dual enrollment student on one of our college partner's main campus or online through Brenau, Lanier Tech, UNG, or at LCCA taking dual enrollment classes though Lanier Tech, please send a screenshot of your current grades to claudia.goss@hallco.org. The screenshot must include the name of the class, your name, and your grade.

Students who are enrolled fulltime in the VIRTUAL Program of Choice must be able to provide their own transportation to Ivester Early College.
