Loads of Learning GNV: Volunteer Registration

Loads of Learning GNV is a program that uses everyday spaces to promote a love of reading and learning for children and families. By facilitating storytimes and reading activities in local laundromats equipped with cozy children's furniture and books, you can create positive learning experiences for our community.

This is a partnership-based program that involves several organizations in the Gainesville area.

By submitting this form and applying to become a volunteer with Loads of Learning GNV, I agree to the following: 

1. I realize that I am not an employee of any of the partner organizations supporting the Loads of Learning GNV program and I will not represent myself as one.

2. I understand that my volunteer service with Loads of Learning GNV does not entitle me to any monetary compensation or other employment benefits.

3. I will make my volunteer service a commitment. I will volunteer during the times I have been scheduled and will complete the Weekly Participation Tracking Form to record my volunteer service time. I will contact LoadsofLearningGNV@gmail.com if I will be late or if I am not able to volunteer during my scheduled time. If it is possible, I should provide at least a 24 hour notice of my absence.

4. I will be solely responsible for my actions while volunteering in any capacity with Loads of Learning GNV. I will conduct myself in an ethical, truthful, courteous and cooperative manner while interacting with others.

5. I understand that my volunteer service is at the will of the partner organizations supporting the Loads of Learning GNV program and that I may be terminated at any time with or without cause or notice for unsatisfactory performance or behavior.

6. I recognize that prior to being permitted to begin as a volunteer with Loads of Learning GNV, I will be required to complete and pass a background screening. This process will be facilitated by one of the partner organizations supporting Loads of Learning GNV.

7. I understand that if I am accepted as a Loads of Learning GNV volunteer and leave my volunteer assignment for 6 months or longer I will be required to re-apply.
