David Douglas Dance Team Registration
Welcome to the David Douglas Dance Team 2026-2027 registration!

*TRY OUTS FOR CURRENT 8TH GRADERS will take place on Monday, May 11th from 3:30-5 pm in the South Dance Room for our Varsity year round team
TRYOUTS FOR CURRENT DDHS STUDENTS will take place on Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th from 3-5 pm in the South Dance Room for our Varsity year round team
(The south building is located at 1500 SE 130th ave.)

*A Parent/Family Meeting (for dancers selected for the team) will take place during Friday, June 5th at 6 pm at DDHS North Building Room 139

the Team: Summer, Fall and Winter season commitment. Dance experience is preferred but not required
A team player mindset, willingness to learn new things and push yourself are required!
Will attend Dance Team Central camp at Rex Putnam High School on August 4 and 5
Perform at assemblies, football, basketball and other sports halftimes and community events - may compete at one or two competitions during the winter season.

We choreograph and perform mainly Hip Hop and Pom/Stadium Jazz! (think BlazerDancers and Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders) while drawing inspiration from styles like Salsa, K-pop and TikTok trends and any other styles that members want to teach and/or learn.

Why do you want to be on the David Douglas Dance Team?

Attendance - I understand that attendance is always required (unless prior arrangements are made in advance) and that there will be practices over the summer. I understand that after two unexcused absences, a contract will be sent home for parent/caregiver signatures and a third unexcused absence may result in dismissal from the team.

I understand that in order to be eligible to participate, I will pay my Activity Fee ($85 per season) to the David Douglas High School bookkeeper.

I understand that in order to be eligible to participate in tryouts that I will need to register via FinalForms.  *
I understand that in order to be eligible to participate in tryouts that I will have an updated physical uploaded to FinalForms.

I understand that there are academic requirements in order to be eligible to be a dancer at DDHS. I am required to be academically eligible to tryout, and also to maintain my grades throughout the seasons.

I understand that as a dancer at DDHS I am representing myself, the program, the school and the community. I promise to do so in a manner appropriate of being a leader. This includes my online and social media presence.

I understand that if I make a team, there is a $100 non-refundable deposit, due at the parent meeting in June that will go towards camp and my uniforms.

I acknowledge that there is a financial commitment for dance team - approximately $700 (for both seasons) - that is for photography and uniforms/gear and therefor still owed, even if I leave or am dismissed from the team for any reason.  *
