The Queens Night Market (QNM) starts entry at 5PM, and food sales end at 12AM. Earlier is better for families as the lines are shorter and parking is easier. Still, you'll have a good time regardless of when you arrive. Expect to pay between $5-10 for an item. Some vendors are cash only, so bring some cash or use the ATM machines right at the entrance of the Night Market. If you have young children and prefer to drive, it's nice to go to the Hall of Science between 3-4 PM and keep your car parked in the lot while you walk around to the back for the Night Market at 5PM. Once the Hall of Science lot transitions to night market parking, it will cost $15 per vehicle to park there (and the lot does fill up).  There are tables to sit at, but they fill up quickly, so blankets are recommended for sitting on the grassy area. When you arrive, walk towards the grassy area behind the performance area and look for Nancy with a red and white checked blanket.
