Available Appointed Roles on Bruton PTSA
These are perfect for those that want to help but need something with less time commitment than a PTSA Board position. Or for those that are just beginning their PTSA journey.
  • Reflections Chair:  Coordinates the annual PTSA Reflections arts program. Promotes student participation in visual arts, literature, music, and photography. Organizes judging and recognition events. This position starts during the summer and goes throughout the year. Preferably someone affiliated with the Arts at Bruton. Requires organization, event planning & coordination and knowledge of social media.
  • Hospitality Chair:  Focuses on teacher & staff related appreciation events such as welcome back luncheon, appreciation days on calendar, and monthly treats and special tokens of appreciation for staff. Would need daytime flexibility on the day of these events to be scheduled around your schedule.
  • Membership Chair: Organizes and coordinates membership drives for all three constituent groups (school staff, families & students), reports membership numbers at each PTSA meeting, identifies membership perks. Creative ideas to generate memberships. Great for someone that works full time.
  • Fundraising Chair:  Coordinates all details & set up for the hot beverage bar at every home football game. Coordinates any other fundraising events and sponsorships throughout the year. Researches local & regional grants that PTSA is eligible for. Great for someone that works full-time but is available Friday evenings. Prefer someone with creative fundraising ideas and/or someone that knows how to research grants and who is a strong writer.
  • Teacher Rep & Student Rep:  Represent the teacher and student perspective when giving input on events and activities. Assists in recruiting staff and student participation for events and activities. Prefer strong leadership skills.
