Creative Action Institute is pleased to announce the Creative Collaboration for 21st Century Leaders Course taking place from September 24th- November 13th 2020.

People working together powers change. A hands-on exploration of how to build stronger and more innovative teams by deepening group identity and trust, fostering mutual support and appreciation, developing a shared vision and creating opportunities for collective risk-taking, problem solving and design.

ABOUT CREATIVE ACTION INSTITUTE
Since 2006, Creative Action Institute has catalyzed community-driven solutions that advance gender equality and build a sustainable planet. Through our experiential trainings, regional and international summits and coaching, we develop leaders, build networks and support grassroots advocacy globally. Our team brings together diverse expertise as educators, facilitators, and coaches, with specific experience working with leaders of all ages on. gender equality, advocacy, sustainable development, organizational development, and bio-cultural diversity and. heritage.

Our portfolio of work includes custom-designed curriculum development, trainings, educational symposiums, summits, conferences and staff retreats.

METHODOLOGY
Creative Action Institute’s unique methodology incorporates holistic and creative approaches that are experiential – learning by doing – in order to deepen learning and retention of information. Additionally, our creative approaches allow groups to collectively analyze and discuss complex and sensitive topics and are accessible to a wide range of people. We have trained hundreds of teachers, community leaders, and young adults to use our interactive and learner-centered methodology to advance leadership development and, grassroots advocacy efforts in East & West Africa, and South & Central America. These approaches have been readily replicated and adapted in a variety of contexts including under-resourced and remote locales.

OUR SERVICES
In 2020 we are pleased to offer uniquely dynamic and participatory online courses that support leaders around the globe to be more effective. Course content is adapted from our field-tested curriculum to be engaging and practical for online learning but has clear application and available support for post-pandemic action.

The Creative Collaboration for 21st Century Leaders Course will run for 8 sessions (2 hours per session) with assignments in between as well as access to virtual office hours to get support from the trainers as needed. All participants will receive a digital handbook that includes instructions on how to replicate activities from the course in-person as well as in a virtual setting.

Participants will learn how to:

• Build inclusion for diverse identities and perspectives
• Foster a culture of mutual support and appreciation
• Create opportunities for shared risk-taking
• Improve teamwork and collaborative leadership skills
• Engage in creative problem solving and conflict-resolution
• Develop practices for group participation, innovation and play

PRICING AND REQUIREMENTS;
• Each course costs $250 per participant.
• The training will have a maximum of 20 participants to ensure a participatory learning environment.
• Participants must complete all assignments and be present for at least 7 of the 8 sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion.
• Assignments include the use of paper, markers/coloured pencils.
• Participants must have reliable internet with enough speed to support video zoom calls.
• We recommend that participants use a computer for the training.
